🌿 KDC Robat: Farming Against the Odds 🌿

If Kychum’s farmlands are a classroom of steady learning, then Robat’s farm is a battlefield — one fought in mud, mangroves, and pure determination. The terrain itself is no gentle companion; a mangrove swamp doesn’t exactly roll out a red carpet for rice farming. But that hasn’t stopped the team.

At the heart of this challenge stands Mr. Ali Kamara, our NGC councillor, who has been managing the project side by side with the school. And what a job he’s done! With the instincts of an experienced farmer and the know-how of a true agriculturist, Ali has turned what could have been a discouraging patch of swamp into a story of grit and growth.

But he has not stood alone. Honourable Foday Mario has been right there in the trenches (quite literally), both men pouring not just their time but also their own resources into ensuring the project’s success. Their message could not be louder: failure is not an option.

To them, this isn’t just farming; it’s about proving what ownership, responsibility, and leadership by example can achieve. And for that, I tip my hat with deep respect. This is the spirit Sierra Leone needs to nurture in every corner of our community — rolling up our sleeves, investing in our people, and showing through action that progress is possible when we care enough to lead.
